Requirements

  • Supply Chain Intern with a degree in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Successfully completed Freshman year of College
  • Computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data-gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
  • Commitment to a full time, (40 hours a week) Summer internship experience

  • Education and Experience:
  • Education/Experience: must complete freshman year of college
  • Language Skills:
  • Ability to write reports and test procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, engineers, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • As a Supply Chain Intern you will be responsible for the delivery of Supply Chain data analysis to the internal operations team to support the global Supply Chain organization
  • Supports all aspects of Strategic Sourcing; including supplier research, request for quote (RFQ), reverse auction bidding, cost analysis, inventory analysis, contract development and supplier performance improvement
  • Collect requirements from Supply Chain, Logistics, and Site Operations to develop supply chain & and logistics containment forecasting models and reports
  • Analyze purchasing-related information including material purchases, receipts, cost, purchase price variance, and supplier performance
  • Understand how supply chain metrics relate to each other and the overall goals of the business unit
  • Evaluate the large volume of supply/logistics raw data which is scattered across multiple files and gather relevant information to assess savings opportunities
