Requirements

  • On track to complete a degree in Telecommunication Engineering (Optical Fibre / Data Networks)
  • A flexible and innovative self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems
  • Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements
  • A well-rounded individual – have you worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us – we’re looking for people with interesting stories and experiences!
  • You must be available to join the 8-week programme starting 1st July 2024 – 22nd August 2024.
  • You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Our Transportation business within P&PS Europe currently comprises 1500+ staff spread across 23+ offices, delivering more connected, sustainable solutions for our UK, European and international clients across Aviation, Highways, Rail and adjacency markets.
  • The Rail and Geotechnical Business unit consists of over 875 people, with people located in virtually every office within the UK. The rail part of the business includes Network Rail, TfL and HS2 amongst its biggest clients, with the geotechnical business serving virtually every operating unit within People & Places Solutions as well as cross line of activities into the Energy & Power and mining sectors. On joining our team over the Summer as a Telecommunications Engineer Intern you will have the opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge and be provided with the experience and technical knowledge you need to progress your career.
