Requirements

  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently when needed.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills preferably from past job or volunteer experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with MS Office Applications, with a focus on Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong technical skills in financial analysis, including the reading and understanding of financial statements.
  • All candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist underwriters with the underwriting, placement, and documentation of insurance policies.
  • Analyze the merits of potential insureds through the analysis of submission materials including, but not limited to, stock performance, financial statements, earnings reports, news articles, and product-specific applications.
  • Stay current with respect to major world, economic, business, and industry news and developments.
  • Attend and participate in BHSI training and development sessions, both within and outside of Executive & Professional Liability.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
