Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the following:
  • Civil Engineering / Architecture
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Industrial Hygiene / Occupational Safety
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Maintenance Engineering or other Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) disciplines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Excel with ability to understand Excel worksheets
  • Must have a graduation date no later than 2026
  • Demonstrated academic excellence.
  • Willingness to relocate.
  • Must be able to participate, in an internship, prior to completing current degree program.

Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day operations of the health, safety, environmental and facilities (HSEF) function developing experience and understanding of HSEF management systems, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Focus on a special HSEF project to be determined based on the intern’s interests and experience to implement improvements and to build communication and networking skills with other functional and business areas.
  • Assist with developing and implementation of HSE&F programs, policies, and procedures to continually improve processes.
  • Assist with developing and/or reviewing safety training content and experience facilitating and hosting training sessions.
  • Participate in HSE&F inspections, own corrective actions, and track items to closure.
  • Participate in investigating safety incidents and concerns and identifying and owning corrective actions.
  • Opportunity to have impact on HSEF program at sites that protect employees, the environment and maintain assets.
  • Opportunities to assist with environmental programs such as hazardous waste reduction projects, sustainability projects and carbon neutrality.
