Requirements

  • Must be a junior-level student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on design studies
  • Strong portfolio of work showcasing your best visual design skills (User Interfaces, Illustrations, Conceptual)
  • Displays understanding of visual design fundamentals: working within a color palette, exploring shape, composition, typography, illustration and Photo editing, animation, motion and transition.
  • Demonstrates problem solving through competitive research, sketching ideas, and prototyping.
  • Working knowledge of design tools such as: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Affinity, etc
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive results
  • Good communication skills to convey your own design rationale, ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate around solving customer problems using design thinking methods
  • Design high quality deliverables and assets such as user interface components, visual layouts and patterns, illustrations, creative document templates and presentations, design system docs, wireframes and prototypes
  • Participate in customer research with clear goals, a testable hypothesis, and learning plan
  • Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then learn narrowing techniques to focus on a critical few to validate under guidance
  • Learn and use design systems, visual frameworks, color scheme, components and patterns based on brand and product guidelines
  • Gain practical experience working through opportunities and constraints inherent in various technologies (UI, services, AI/ML).
  • Ability to understand customer segments, trends and needs to define the experience for success.
  • Collaboration and coaching with other designers, strategists, product managers, product developers, marketers, and researchers
  • Provide point-of-view and solicit feedback from a variety of events and stakeholders to grow your skills
