Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in accounting or a related field
  • Motivated self-starter displaying a willingness to learn and an ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Intermediate/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely processing of invoicing and payments through an integrated computerized AP system, verify accuracy and completeness of data records
  • Monitor risk through compliance with internal KPMG controls
  • Investigate, follow-up on, and resolve any unapplied invoices or payments
  • Support month end reconciliation and provide details/reports to GL department
  • Monitor AP functional mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner
  • Liase with and provide support to internal clients regarding AP processes
  • Support the vendor setup process, which includes investigating and updating vendor name and address changes, as well as setting up accounts for EFT payments.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to cheque runs, such as filing, mailing cheques, and tracking couriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Responsible for ensuring that any special handling requests are managed with precision and accuracy, adhering to the firm's policies and guidelines to maintain the highest standard of service.
