Requirements

  • - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 21 days of start date
  • - High school Diploma or GED
  • - Preferred 1-2 years experience in clinical and/or customer service setting
  • - Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff and clinicians.
  • - Proficient computer skills including typing, navigation within a windows operating system, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
  • - Travel between sites of care- may be requested to work at nearby Advocate/Aurora Clinic at Walgreens sites to fulfill business needs

  • - The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

  • - Provide clinical and administrative support to remote and/or in-person Advanced Practice Clinicians while on site at Advocate/Aurora Clinics at Walgreens
  • - Complete the patient registration process, which includes documenting patient demographics, processing insurance and copays and scheduling patient appointments in the electronic medical record
  • - Facilitate waiting room management and patient rooming processes
  • - Complete vitals and point of care testing on patients
  • - Monitor supply inventory; order clinical and office supplies
  • - Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, APCs, Walgreens store management and ACW leadership in support of patient care delivery
  • - Responsible for maintaining a safe, professional, and organized clinic environment
  • - Other duties as assigned

You will staff at Advocate Walgreens Clinic sites, including Oaklawn, Chicago 95th, Chicago 75th, and Chicago 55th.
