Responsibilities

  • Provide 7X24 support for the AIX and Linux server hardware and software infrastructure. Includes approximately 2000 RedHat Linux and 200 AIX servers.
  • Responsible for resolving all ServiceNow requests and incident tickets assigned to the "ServerOps - AIX/LNX" assignment group
  • Provide hardware, software, and firmware upgrades to IBM Power infrastructure
  • Responsible for resolving Server Audit vulnerabilities
  • Responsible for providing information for the Care, PCI, Financial, and SOC2 Audits
  • Responsible for supporting all AIX/Linux Server build and decommission requests
  • Participate in project related work as needed
  • Performance management, perform daily monitoring and primary event recipient
  • Maintain System Configuration Documentation for all supported AIX/Linux hardware and software platforms
  • Provide contingency/Disaster Recovery execution for EPIC/Lawson applications
  • Familiar with VMWARE environment to support REDHAT Linux environment
  • Manage servers, storage, operating systems and applications to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems enhancements
  • Participate in production support monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, enhancing and providing advanced customer support
  • Participate in deployment / implementation planning and executing the implementation of new applications or system integration and testing
  • Participate in design researching, recommending and designing new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing systems; providing consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the network environment
