Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Growth Markets Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that MUFG corporate, sovereign & specialized clients receive exceptional service throughout the life of financing transactions, in accord with all relevant internal and regulatory processes, guidelines and standards.
  • Within the Growth Markets desk, this position will be dedicated to the Emerging Europe & Central Asian and African customer base.
  • Market Intelligence: Track macroeconomic and sector trends in emerging markets; provide insights to inform origination strategy.
  • Client Origination Support: Assist VPs, Directors and Managing Directors in identifying and onboarding target clients in strategic Growth Markets sectors. Work jointly with the product teams including DCM Loans, Structured Finance, Transaction Banking, Derivatives, etc.
  • Marketing Support and Credit: Support the Team preparation of deal screening proposals, account plans, return calculations, client proposals, call memos and presentations.
  • Transaction Execution: Support the team in preparation of pitch materials, financial models, and documentation for new transactions; coordinate internal approvals, negotiate with internal / external legal teams and borrowers to ensure negotiation and timely execution of the documentation to a consistently high standard, reflecting MUFG’s preferred position as much as possible.
  • Systems & Reporting: Update internal systems with market data and transaction details; support regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
  • Provide general support to the wider team as may be required, including follow up with the different departments and divisions within the Bank (e.g. compliance, middle and back office planning related tasks, process waivers as appropriate, liaising with other business units).
  • Provide general support to the Department and Team Heads, and as required from time to time, including the preparation/ update of strategy papers, financial data and planning related activities.
