Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Area Procurement team including team members sitting in several different offices across the Area
  • Work closely in a Matrix organization that involve harmonizing Area procurement efforts and working closely with the regional procurement manager plus the Centre Procurement teams in close collaboration
  • Partner with the Area Product, Sales, Service Delivery and finance teams on long term game plans mapping Joint Cost Plan initiatives across the area organisation, including growth projects and ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs, customer experience and operational execution
  • Lead negotiations, hold senior supplier relationships, and coordinate the right Service Level Agreements between Maersk and its partners
  • Accountable for integrating Maersk Contract Management frameworks to help ensure compliance and best in class supplier performance
  • Drive a strong digital footprint in collaboration with the digital procurement team and ensure that this is translated in our engagement with the way we work with our suppliers and Area business plans
  • Perform continuous improvement on supplier market analytics, organising market intelligence and creating a competitive edge for Maersk book of business through creating effective supply chains through our suppliers
  • Co-operate closely with colleagues between the Area and the Ocean set up in the Area/Region
  • Maintain and grow the relationship with product, commercial and area directors and support regional strategy through the area plans
