  • One full-time audio typist is required in our busy Cellular Pathology Office.
  • The ideal candidate should be well organised, have a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Applicants will be expected to have a proven audio typist and Microsoft applications experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is required as this post will involve audio typing of medical reports.

Responsibilities

  • The post holder will be responsible for producing accurate and timely word-processed reports on Histopathology and Non Gynae Cytology specimens, as required.
  • The post holder will be part of a team delivering support services to Cellular Pathology, providing input of patient records, reception, generation and distribution of reports.
  • The post holder will carry out the role of audio typist and communicate effectively with office, laboratory and clinical staff.
  • The post holder will be required to undertake their responsibilities within any of the sections of Cellular Pathology to meet all required national standards e.g., ISO15189.
