What types of patients will I be caring for in this role?
You will be caring for a diverse cohort of medical and surgical patients, including those with hepatology, infectious disease, cardiac, rheumatology issues, as well as those requiring specialist surgical care in Hepatobiliary, Vascular, and Renal surgery.
What qualifications will I receive if I am successful in this role?
Successful candidates will undertake the Royal Free London NHS Trust “Adult Intensive Care Course,” which is fully accredited with the University of Greenwich, earning 30 level 6 credits, along with the Intermediate Life Support Course.
Is there a transition program for career development?
Yes, there is a Band 5 to 6 transition programme that successful candidates will undertake, with the opportunity to transition to Band 6 once agreed competences are met.
Will I have the opportunity to rotate between different ICU settings?
Yes, there is an opportunity to rotate between both ICUs as part of the development program.
