Responsibilities

  • Gather and refine digital capability requirements from various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Horizon scan and evaluate current and emerging technologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Consolidate existing strategies and develop a comprehensive digital strategy for the new hospital build and supporting technical roadmap to deliver core digital capabilities for staff, patients and partner organisations within the new hospital and local health economy.
  • Analysis & JudgementGather and analyse complex, and sometimes conflicting, information from various sources to describe the desired or required digital capabilities and use this information to select suitable digital technologies.
  • CommunicationProvide expert advice and guidance to help various stakeholders define and document their digital requirements and the potential solutions available to deliver these requirements.
  • Policy & Service DevelopmentDevelop or refine existing IT or digital policies to maintain compliance with local and national standards.
  • Financial resourcesIdentify the costs and financial benefits and risks of the selected technologies.
  • Leading & ManagingBe the thought leader and champion for the digital capabilities of the redevelopment programme.
  • Allocate technical work appropriately to third party suppliers.Manage own work schedule efficiently, i.e. prioritisation of complex activities to the needs of the Redevelopment Programme and demonstrating flexibility when unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • Work with the aligned digital Project Manager to ensure any plans are accurate and cost efficient.
  • Contribute to technical training material and deliver technical training to Support Staff and users if required.
  • Establish and maintain strong and productive relationships within users and other key stakeholders/suppliers.
