What are the core working hours for the Biomedical Support Worker position?
The core hours of work are from 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.

Yes, the role includes late shifts from 12:00 to 20:00, a 12-hour night shift with specific hours to be confirmed, and weekend working typically 1 in 4, which may include shifted hours.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 or GCSE Grade C in Mathematics, English, and at least one Science subject is necessary. Nationally recognised equivalents are acceptable.
Is previous laboratory experience necessary for this role?
Previous laboratory experience and knowledge of microbiology would be advantageous but are not essential, as training will be provided.
What duties will I be responsible for as a Biomedical Support Worker?
You will assist Biomedical Scientists and Healthcare Science Associates in receiving, preparing, and examining clinical specimens, as well as preparing reagents, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining stock and records, and performing general clerical duties such as data entry and handling telephone enquiries.
