Requirements

  • Previous purchasing experience in Procurement
  • Basic knowledge of ERP and/or MRP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, COUPA, etc)
  • Computer literate – knowledge of software programs (i.e. MS Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • B2 - C1 English level
  • Proven ability to build constructive and effective supplier relationships
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) at all levels
  • Analytical, data driven approach with attention to detail
  • Strong experience in the following Procurement domains: Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, and/or Shipping Supplies
  • Experience in supplier/ vendor relationship management
  • Experience as a Non-Inventory Receiver or Stores Coordinator
  • Any additional sourcing and/or purchasing competencies would be advantageous
  • Occasional Travel may be required to visit individual FCs within the cluster/other regions (5% of the total time)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the daily forecast and effective materials management of all non-inventory packaging supplies
  • Execute purchase order creation based on the planned forecast and internal requests
  • Liaise with suppliers to secure prompt deliveries for the full range of shipping supplies items
  • Develop relationships with primary internal customers (on-site management teams), external suppliers and other Amazon Teams (Operations and Corporate)
  • Work in full compliance with the company Spending and Transaction Policy
  • Plan the truck deliveries in full while placing replenishment orders
  • Communicate the accurate delivery schedule to the local FC Stores teams
  • Support change initiatives and continuous improvement projects aimed at improving the efficiency of shipping supplies processes
  • Proactively flag delivery issues with the Regional SPOC Manager as well as the EU Procurement Team for visibility
  • Provide support to other SPOC Buyers as and when required
  • Interact with the FC Stores Coordinators on a daily basis to get a sense of activities on the shop floor
  • Provide training to new SPOC Buyers
  • Deliver Procurement metrics in line with set targets. This includes achieving cost savings for the cluster, no FC stock-out issues and achieving individual project objectives
