What qualifications are required for the Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner role?
A Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma qualification as a Children Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) is required.
Is specific accreditation needed for this position?
Yes, the training course must be accredited by either the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), or you must be preparing to submit for accreditation.
What type of interventions will I be delivering in this role?
You will deliver high quality, outcome-focused, evidence-based low intensity interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Will I be working independently or in collaboration with others?
You will be working in a multi-agency setting, collaborating with colleagues in Early Help, Social Care, schools, and across the wider system.
