Responsibilities

  • With consultant supervision, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients on the inpatient service based in the UCLH main hospital building (T11 for paediatric patients, T12 for teenagers).
  • You will be working alongside Specialty Registrars, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and the nursing team in ensuring the daily review of the inpatients, admissions/discharges, treatment planning and allocation (after appropriate training and sign-off).
  • As part of the job, you will have the chance to develop expertise in a variety of subspecialities:
  • Acute and chronic leukaemias
  • Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas
  • Non malignant haematology
  • Neuro-oncology
  • Sarcomas
  • Rare tumours
  • Bone Marrow Transplant (autologous and allogeneic)
  • CAR T cells therapy
  • Proton Beam Therapy
  • Lab diagnostics (flow cytometry/cytogenetics/molecular/histopathology)
  • We also have a wide portfolio of clinical trials in all disease subtype, and you will have the opportunity to be actively involved as a sub-investigator.
