What type of cases will I be managing in this role?
You will be managing a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence cases, including complex and high value claims both pre and post issue.
Is prior experience in clinical negligence necessary for this position?
Yes, it is essential to have solid claimant clinical negligence or serious personal injury experience to be considered for this role.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must be a fully qualified Solicitor, FCILEx, or an experienced case handler equivalent with experience in litigated clinical negligence or serious personal injury cases.
How will my workweek be structured?
Your workweek will involve a combination of working from home and attending one of our offices 1-2 days per week in a flexible arrangement.
Will I be required to supervise other team members?
Yes, you will supervise within the group under the direction of the Group Leader and with the support of your line manager.
What kind of skills are required for this role?
Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills are required. You should also be able to deal sensitively with clients and confidently engage with colleagues, experts, and legal representatives.
Is there an expectation for billing targets in this role?
Yes, you will need to adhere to service level agreements (SLA’s) and achieve targets for billed costs, time utilisation, and case management tasks.
Will there be opportunities for team training and marketing activities?
Yes, participation in team training and marketing activities is part of the role.
Is knowledge of the CPR and clinical negligence law essential?
