  • The successful candidates will be proactive administrators able to work with and manipulate complex data; to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders; and to prioritise their own workload to meet time critical deadlines. They will be accurate in their work and skilled at planning ahead; and will have a strong commitment to delivering a high-quality service to staff and students to train Tomorrow’s UCL Doctors.

Responsibilities

  • The post holders will each be part of a site-based team responsible for organising and timetabling clinical placements and associated assessments for undergraduate medical students.
  • They will work in collaboration with the Placements Coordinator to organise placement timetables within a year of study and will take direct responsibility for placements in one or more modules.
  • Each site-based Placements Team works together to support activities within and across years, to provide cross-cover to enable continuity of services to staff and students, and to participate in preparation and on-the-day delivery of clinical examinations at their site.
  • The team liaises with the wider team of MBBS Administrators who contribute to the delivery of this complex programme, and with an extensive network of Professional Services, Academic and Clinical staff across UCL and our partner NHS Trusts, Primary Care and Specialist Providers.
  • Placement administrators are the first point of contact for medical students and work collaboratively and sensitively to ensure a high quality and timely service to students and staff to underpin and enhance medical education and the medical student experience.
