Requirements

  • We work in a hybrid way here at Grant Thornton, with colleagues working between our offices, client sites and at their homes. As a trainee, the expectation is that you will spend up to four days either working from an office, client site or college to help with your learning, building relationships and connections with your peers.

Responsibilities

  • Our graduate programme is designed to take you on a journey from graduate to professionally qualified. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll experience during your first three years:
  • Design and implement intelligent solutions to quickly identify the key facts, details, and merits of a case.
  • Collate and gather intelligence and information in line with GDPR, and other relevant criminal legislations including the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1980; and undertake comparative analysis as required to determine appropriate next steps and outcomes.
  • Draft findings and conclusions from investigation enquiries.
  • Coordinate with client contacts to provide work plan deliverables, progress timelines, and advice on strategy, workflow, and best practices.
  • Analyse and interpret client requirements.
  • Provide project and investigation support to team leads and clients.
  • Respond to client requests and setting clear expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with team leads to learn and take ownership of project tasks.
  • Perform the day-to-day client engagement activities, including interaction with client personnel, internal GT team members, and other stakeholders involved in the engagement.
  • Deliver face to face presentations and training to clients to inform their understanding and awareness of specific fraud and bribery related issues.
  • Undertake fraud ‘audits’ and reviews of client business systems and procedures and undertake testing to identify any instances of fraud.
  • On the job learning, alongside a structured training programme supported by us all the way to complete the ACA professional qualification
  • Study
  • You’ll need to be focused, committed, and organised as a trainee, to balance your study and work requirements. You will be provided with study leave to help you complete your professional qualification but you will also find you need to study in your spare time outside of your working hours. Completing a professional qualification is a substantial commitment and its worth taking this into consideration before applying. You will work towards professional Counter Fraud qualification
