Responsibilities

  • Guiding system planning
  • Acts as a thought leader to guide/develop system strategic direction in partnership with Executive Leadership Team and other leaders.
  • Assists the C-suite by providing guidance on the preparation, coordination, and communication of strategy-related content including Board and senior leadership presentations.
  • Developing and cascading strategic plans
  • Translates high-level system strategic direction into comprehensive strategic plans for the health system.
  • Aligns the health system’s strategic vision, goals, and processes across key operating units.
  • Works closely with operational and other senior leaders to develop all initiatives/tactics, target/goal setting, resource allocation, and communication needs for respective operating units.
  • Driving progress and accountability
  • Builds, implements, and leads core processes that support development, execution, and monitoring of the strategic plan.
  • Leads the strategic management team to ensure that strategic objectives are achieved through engagement with leaders across the health system.
  • Addressing barriers and adapting plans
  • Identifies, escalates, and seeks resolution on major issues and risks through partnership with executive leaders.
  • Pivots plans as necessary in response to market developments, industry shifts and opportunities.
