What is the primary role of a Dispensary Training and Development Support Pharmacy Technician?
The primary role is to support the initial and ongoing training and development of staff involved in the supply of medication to inpatients and to assist in processing discharge medication in a timely manner.

Duties include conducting audits, final accuracy checking of medication, dispensing, training and supporting pharmacy staff, participating in quality improvement projects, and meeting KPIs.
Will I be involved in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)?
Yes, you will be involved in the production and review of new and outstanding Standard Operating Procedures related to the dispensaries.
How will training be facilitated for staff?
Training will be coordinated, prioritized, and facilitated for varying group sizes, including departmental, one-on-one, and group sessions.
Is there an expectation for staff to work independently after training?
Yes, staff will be supported through training to work independently without direct supervision.
What type of skills management is required for the dispensary staff?
You will be responsible for maintaining a staff skills matrix for core dispensary staff and dispensary-related competencies.
Will I have any educational responsibilities?
Yes, you will assess NVQ qualifications and act as an Educational Supervisor.
