What is the primary purpose of this position?
The primary purpose of this position is to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team to ensure the provision of quality patient care on a daily basis in accordance with FMS policies and procedures.
What qualifications are required for this job?
The qualifications required include being a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, holding current appropriate state licensure, and meeting the practice requirements in the state of employment.
Is hemodialysis experience necessary for this position?
While hemodialysis experience is preferred, it is not absolutely required. However, candidates must successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis after being hired.
What kind of training will I receive?
You will receive training in the theory and practice of hemodialysis, as well as CPR certification and potentially other specific training related to the position.
Are there any physical demands associated with this position?
Yes, the position involves direct patient care that includes heavy lifting and moving of patients, assisting with ambulation, and standing for prolonged periods.
Is there any specific certification required?
Yes, employees must successfully complete CPR certification and meet the necessary requirements of the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment.
