Requirements

  • We are looking for a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in an evolving service:
  • You must be a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and have obtained the relevant EMHP / CWP Post Graduate Diploma qualification following the completion of a CYP IAPT approved training in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (C&Y IAPT).
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering evidence-based, early intervention for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health problems, working with a range of professionals to direct best practice, in a holistic, and child centred way.
  • Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.
  • Supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify mental health and wellbeing needs, promoting a Whole School Approach and embedding a positive ethos and attitude to mental health and wellbeing.
  • You will work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided.
  • You will work alongside the team to deliver parent, staff well-being and 1:1 sessions.
