Responsibilities

  • - We work closely with clinical, administrative & managerial staff, analysing their processes & helping them agree clinical best practice standards & workflows.
  • - We modify Epic to reflect & support these working practices.
  • - We test changes to ensure they fulfil organisation requirements, are safe, & work as expected.
  • - We provide end-user support using specialist application knowledge through regular meetings & incident investigation & resolution.
  • - We have excellent relationships with departmental leads, super-users & subject matter experts.
  • - We have a rolling upgrade programme which delivers new features & functionality.

What is the main focus of the EHRS System Analyst / Designer role?

The main focus is to support UCLH’s digital Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Epic, by analysing clinical and administrative processes, modifying the system to support best practices, testing changes, and providing end-user support.

What qualifications are required for this role?

Candidates should have a good understanding of NHS services and ideally some experience relevant to the area they are applying for. Epic certification is preferred; those without it will start at Band 6 and undergo training to achieve certification.

What will happen if I do not have Epic certification?

If you do not have Epic certification, you will start at Band 6 and will be required to undertake an Epic aptitude assessment (the Sphinx test) prior to interview. Once you obtain certification, you can progress to Band 7.

How much of my time will I need to spend on-site?

It is anticipated that post holders will need to spend up to 2 days on site per week, depending on business need, which may include travel to outer London and other sites.
