Responsibilities

  • The post holder will lead on the delivery and ongoing development of the Trust’s programme of strategic community engagement.
  • They will use a variety of approaches to involve different stakeholders in the Trust’s strategic work, with the ultimate aim of improving access, outcomes and experience for our service users, their carers, families and our communities.
  • They will provide specialist communications and engagement leadership and support to key Trust-wide strategic programmes that help deliver the Trust’s strategy, primarily the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) and Patient Stories project.
  • The role will also provide input and advice into the communications and engagement plan for the pilot of a new 24/7 community mental health service in Lewisham which is one of six funded by NHS England.
  • The Strategic Planning and Equalities Team works collaboratively with teams all over the Trust, in particular Communications, Transformation and Programme Management Office teams.
