Requirements

  • B. E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant work experience of 4 – 7 years in area of Single Shaft Compressor Engineering And/or R&D projects.
  • Hands on experience of working with Core Compressor parts like Rotor, Stator, Seals etc.
  • Working knowledge of NX, Teamcenter and SAP
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • You have very good English language skills both verbal & written for your job.
  • Initiative, motivation, planning, and organizational skills complete your profile.

Responsibilities

  • Understand product requirements and derive project requirements at task level.
  • Conceptualize and/or improve design solutions for both development programs and existing products.
  • Produce optimal design solutions to address specified requirements, balancing the different aspects of the components e.g. cost, aerodynamics, vibration, stress/life, manufacturability, tolerancing, cost assembly.
  • Manage activities between technical specialists to achieve an optimized design.
  • Lead DFMEA (design failure mode and effects analysis) technical risk sessions.
  • Align with suppliers and support the Manufacturing engineer on technical issues if required by the nature of the project.
  • Manage work in accordance with project cost, timescale, and quality targets.
  • Participate and/or lead hardware cost reduction activities.
  • Present at technical review gates and generate design reports.
  • Using agreed data storage and quality assurance protocols. Ensure traceability of all decisions.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge in CAD and 3D modeling software.
  • Capable of following direction and adjusting to priority changes to meet schedule milestones.
  • Ability to work in an international team environment as well as independently.
  • Capable of working from written or verbal instruction, good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Machine Design and Support Root Cause analysis.
  • Technically familiar with the types of Turbo machinery produced and manufacturing processes.
  • Creativity, analytical ability, strategic thinking, communication skills, ability to work in a team, motivation, and enthusiasm.
