  • Experience working as an Equity Research Analyst within a leading buy- or sell-side organisation with indepth experience looking at the Energy sector.
  • Demonstrable positive investment track record
  • Demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for investing, preferably supported by an audited track record of material alpha generation
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter, keen to expand their remit and responsibilities over time in line with the development and evolution of our business.
  • First-class numerical, analytical, accounting, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Highly organised yet flexible, deadline oriented with an ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to study for the CFA and/or other regulatory qualifications as necessary
  • Requirement to undertake the IMC Unit 1 exam and CFA Level 1 or Full IMC exam unless exempt

Responsibilities

  • Cover a designated list of stocks using a variety of research and investment techniques
  • Write and communicate research notes resulting in high conviction buy /sell recommendations on covered names
  • Be FIL’s key point of contact for covered companies, owning those relationships and interactions with them
  • A thought-leader for the designated coverage package within FIL
  • Prepare, present and communicate differentiated industry / thematic pieces
  • Share your knowledge and insights broadly and collaboratively with investment professionals across the firm
  • Attend relevant internal and external meetings, sharing your investment views and ideas as warranted
