Responsibilities

  • Solicits playdates and confirms placement of current releases.
  • Administers weekly holdovers and related tasks using our booking system.
  • Negotiates film rental in various markets.
  • Oversees booking for all publicity pre-opening screenings, group sales initiatives, and In Theatre Marketing programs such as pre-sales, special offers, etc.
  • Books and oversees shipment of various print formats as per negotiations with exhibition.
  • Analyzes the marketplace by evaluating competitive grosses, impact of new theatres, etc. Uses this data to prepare detailed reports regarding sales activity and projections.
  • Develops, cultivates and manages relationships with exhibition, including film buyers, theater owners, and their support staff.
  • Reports results of trade screenings to senior management.
  • Oversees billing functions of weekly film engagements, which may include establishing advance and guarantee payments.
  • Reconciles discrepancies with cashiers regarding playdates, grosses, advance payments, delinquent box office reports and advertising costs for various markets.
  • Oversees adherence to piracy initiatives by ensuring proper security measures are established and enforced.
  • Keeps senior management completely informed of all exhibition activities across releases.
