Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance our short- and long-term forecasting model to support critical expansion and operational strategies
  • Deliver and craft high-quality presentations for senior executives and investors
  • Provide detailed reporting, building scalable processes, and driving strategic initiatives
  • Develop expertise in understanding how our customer's consumption and costs translate to the P&L
  • Help prepare monthly financial review packages and month/quarter-end close process
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and forecasting related to headcount, department expenses, CAPEX, corporate allocations and company software spend
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Finance
  • Generate trended monthly expense analysis to improve visibility into areas such as Professional Services, Software Subscriptions and Travel
  • Prepare monthly financial review packages and support the month/quarter-end close process for business partners in order to review expenses, discuss variances and update forecasts
  • Drive better understanding of Snowflake’s positioning and emerging trends for our management team by analyzing financial research/information about our peers and the industry
  • Support the quarterly earnings results process, schedule, and the content of strategic news releases
  • Assist with competitive and strategic analysis on our peers, and the industry as well as buy/sell-side trends to help keep management aware of the markets and investor views on Snowflake

  • Working Capital Management:
  • Control Daily cash management, initiate payments, anticipate short-term borrowing needs and communicate them to proper personnel
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Reporting:
  • Build Treasury dashboard, maintain and enhance cash forecasting
  • Build and maintain bank fee analysis and treasury budget preparation
  • Financial Controls and Compliance:
  • Support Treasury S-Ox reporting, S-Ox control documentation of sales and use tax a property tax process controls
  • Support tax reconciliation processes
  • Support our Business Internal Controls assessment, other operational Audits and investigations
  • Review the business processes, develop and update Risk and Control Matrices, flowcharts, and testing procedures
  • Assess and analyze the impact of control deficiencies and audit findings; gain stakeholder agreement on root causes of issues and appropriate corrective actions, while maintaining positive business relationships
  • Assist in gathering and documenting accounting requirements/wishlist for automation
  • Prepare project documentation & articulate solutions needed from a business perspective
  • Draft proposed workflows with feedback from business users, including updated controls documentation
  • Using RPA (Robotic process automation) to automate repetitive manual work.
  • Learn about various accounting focus areas (Accruals, Leases, Capitalized Software, etc.) by understanding an underlying business process as well as applicable accounting guidance
  • Participate in month end close activities, such as preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and variance analyses
  • Collaborate with various business partners (such as Engineering, FP&A, Workplace) on collecting, analyzing and ensuring integrity of various data used in accounting processes
  • Assist in various process improvement projects, including automation, user acceptance testing (UAT) and new system and process implementations
  • Serve as a Procurement partner and liaison to the business supporting all designated functions, Procurement projects, and vendor onboarding & management
  • Collaborate with Snowflake’s Legal and Security departments to ensure compliance with requirements and standard contract terms
  • Measure, manage and improve supplier performance against negotiated SLAs and quality metrics
  • Partner with our Global Contracts team to review Contracts and redline documents
  • Assist with the management of Snowflake’s supply chain
  • Help with all aspects of negotiations, including the creation of negotiation plans
