Responsibilities

  • - Co-ordinate and manage clinical trials
  • - Collaborate with key personnel throughout the trust/research network to ensure continued care and support for participants involved in clinical trials
  • - Coordinate a number of trials, with responsibilities for recruiting and delivery of trial specific procedures
  • - Identify patients eligible for clinical trials
  • - Provide information and support for patients entering clinical trials
  • - Obtain informed consent
  • - Coordinate trial patient treatment, assessment, follow-up and data collection according to specific clinical trial protocols
  • - Work autonomously and closely with other members of the research team to provide a comprehensive clinical trial service to the Trust and the Research Network
  • - Act as a primary source to support all relevant health professionals and departments in all aspects of clinical trials
