Responsibilities

  • ESG Regulatory Implementation – Product-Level Focus
  • Be a source of technical rule-based knowledge with practical implementation expertise for private markets in relation to SFDR, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, UK Stewardship Code, UNPRI and CSRD among other regulations and frameworks.
  • Assist with the design of due diligence frameworks and investment processes (e.g., IC memo templates, ongoing monitoring expectations) to ensure consistent delivery of sustainability commitments and compliance with regulations for specific products.
  • Assist with implementation of processes to ensure GS Alternatives is in compliance with ESG regulations and consistently evidencing work appropriately, coordinate closely with deal teams, Sustainability & Impact Leads, ACF, Legal and Compliance to ensure consistency and rigor in processes.
  • Client Communications & Other Reporting
  • Support the development of standardized ESG DDQ responses, content for investor sustainability updates and reports, marketing presentations, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Support the negotiation of sustainability-related commitments within client side letters for particular products.
  • Assist in tracking client engagements, DDQs, and other inbounds related to ESG.
  • Assist in preparation of updates to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Support the development of communication materials, including internal newsletters and training programs.
  • Ongoing Delivery of ESG Commitments in Products
  • Collaborate with the ESG Data Lead, Engineering, and external consultants to assist with ESG regulatory-related data collection and reporting requirements.
  • Portfolio Company Engagement
  • Support portfolio company value-creation work as it pertains to sustainability, including planning webinars for portfolio companies on key initiatives, compiling best practices across different ESG initiatives, regulations and supporting communications and case studies.
  • Help source and/or develop tools and resources to improve portfolio company sustainability practices (i.e., maturity models) and plan educational events to keep portfolio companies updated on notable sustainability developments, especially in relation to regulatory developments.
