Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification, or substantial relevant experience that demonstrates high order literacy, numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Experience of undertaking desk-based research, data gathering and analysis.
  • Experience of prioritising a varied and complex workload to meet set objectives.
  • Experience of report writing and creating and delivering presentations.
  • Proficiency in working with standard office 365 IT applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint and Power BI or similar alternatives

Responsibilities

  • To support the implementation of our Evaluation Framework for key projects and initiatives, including common methodology and approach to metrics and datasets.
  • To disseminate evaluation findings from projects and initiatives to ensure lessons learned are widely understood and applied.
  • To undertake bespoke analyses to understand differences in experience and outcomes for specific cohorts of students.
  • To develop intuitive and attractive static and interactive data visualisations to help disseminate findings.
  • To challenge and develop existing systems and processes, applying reasoning and informed logic, to ensure that all work generated is appropriate to the request and the desired outcome.
  • To support the Strategic Planning Office in the delivery of key objectives, actively supporting the development of the service provided.
  • To develop strong working relationships with staff in both academic and central service areas to influence and promote an integrated
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Strategic Planning Office promoting a supportive, team approach and a culture of professionalism.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the wider Professional Services team liaising with colleagues in other areas to facilitate cross-team working and the wider development of the Service.
  • To be proactive and self-directed in managing day-to-day workload and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirement including Data Protection and GDPR.
  • To work in a flexible manner, undertaking duties related to the role as required.
