Requirements

  • Experience
  • A graphic design or similar creative degree. 
  • Relevant industry experience, either through placement or work experience, is advantageous but not essential. 
  • Skills
  • Explore and discuss creative concepts, making suggestions at appropriate stages in the project 
  • Create compelling mood boards that support your design aesthetic for the project 
  • Create developed 2D design concepts and presentations from agreed storyboards 
  • Work collaboratively with the team, assist senior designers in the development and preparation of proposals in small and large scale projects 
  • Good knowledge of design applications such as adobe CS suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop 
  • Knowledge of paper sizes, formats, printing techniques and typefaces 
  • Understanding of different disciplines and how they influence 2D 
  • Awareness of design, delivery information needs to be robust and accurate 

Responsibilities

  • You will play a key supporting role within the 2D design team, working across many types of projects and clients, using your creative skills to craft small projects and support larger ones. You’ll work across the full design process from idea generation to design, ensuring that the initial concept is developed, detailed, and successfully delivered through to the final stages on time and within budget.  
  • Good initiative and a proactive approach are crucial within this role. 
  • You will be on a 2-year professional development programme which will develop your creative skills, use of design applications, presentation and time management skills, as well as other skills which are relevant to working in a busy design studio. Once the 2-year PDP is completed you’ll move into our full appraisal system and continue to work with a greater degree of autonomy through various projects.
