Requirements

  • As someone who has graduated within the last 18 months, you’ll show a keen interest in the wider health and wellbeing of the population in Leicester. With an enthusiasm to learn and develop your knowledge and skills, your degree doesn’t need to be in a specific subject we’re just looking for graduates who can show how their transferable skills will benefit the role, team and Council as a whole.
  • You’ll hold the ability to organise your work efficiently, work under pressure and be adaptable. You’ll be someone who can successfully work as part of a team but also thrive in independent working. Having experience, whether it be within a work or education setting, of solving problems and thinking creatively to do so. In addition, you’ll have experience of utilising Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to present confidently and showcase your strong literacy and data analysis skill sets.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be involved in contract management, developing processes around monitoring and evaluation and project management. Day-to-day you’ll support various colleagues including Contract Officers, the Group Manager and wider members of the Drugs and Alcohol team to provide updates on key projects, workstreams and up-to-date data.
  • Within this role, you’ll undertake a variety of tasks include, but not limited to, drafting reports, writing minutes and agendas for meetings, as well as undertaking project work. In addition, as you progress you’ll act as the lead on aspects of your work where appropriate.
  • You’ll be given opportunities to learn about different aspects of contract management, with the opportunity to work with both external and internal partners on shared objectives to develop your knowledge and network.
