Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver the Business Unit annual communications plan to support the BUs strategic objectives.
  • Work with the MD to deliver their internal communications requirements.
  • Drive brand relevance, consistency, and engagement across all touch points by building strong and collaborative internal relationships and recognising the value of our employees as brand ambassadors.
  • Work with the People Directors and the recruitment team to embed Amey’s Employee Value Proposition within all our internal and external people communications and support on employee engagement surveys.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of BU marketing needs to position Amey in relevant sectors, support bids and new business opportunities.
  • Draft press releases that will effectively promote Amey’s achievements adhering to strict client and internal sign off processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Amey press office and work with the business on the development of pro-active and reactive media statements when required.
  • Identify business need for marketing activity to support the BU’s strategic direction and work winning ambitions and work with the central marketing team to ensure these requirements are planned and delivered effectively.
  • Work with the wider communications team to deliver One Amey marketing campaigns highlighting Amey’s integrated service offering.
  • Advise teams on how to use our brand narrative and proof points to frame our work winning narrative.
  • Build effective external networks to enhance brand profile and cultivate opportunities.
  • Build strong networks across Amey and promote collaboration with stakeholders across the business so they understand the BU’s capabilities and strategy.
  • Identify and develop case studies to pre-established formats and standards that highlight our capabilities and strengthen our brand.
  • Oversee, prepare, write and edit communications materials to ensure consistency and high standards.
  • Advise and support contract communications professionals to ensure Amey is meeting its contractual commitments on end user communications activity.
  • Working closely with the BU Strategy Director to ensure the BU public affairs requirements are supported and delivered by the central communications function.
