  • At least 4 years of office experience performing related HR duties preferred
  • Familiarity with Food Service policies and procedures desired
  • Outstanding PC skills, with exceptional data entry (10-key by touch and alphanumeric) skills.
  • Proficient with the use of Internet and e-mail applications required.
  • Proficient knowledge/use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

  • Perform special projects as directed by the HR Manager
  • Maintain up-to-date files for BEK employees.
  • Order and maintain department supplies, forms, and materials.
  • Compile reports and develop various types of correspondence as directed by the HR Manager
  • Prepare employee badges and maintain of employee badge database.
  • Assist HR Manager with projects, including benefits administration and the open enrollment process. Collaborate with HR teams in other Divisions as required.
  • Assist with the online process of opening and closing job requisitions.
  • Maintain employee emergency contact data and ensure information is current.
  • Applicant Tracking Process – Dayforce
  • Open positions posted (external and internal)
  • Notify local workforce agencies of openings
  • Assist hiring managers with applicant flow
  • Set up background screenings, clinic authorizations/visits
  • Complete screening process (Offer/Offer Accepted)
  • Schedule orientation, coordinate safety training, reserve space
  • Prepare New Hire packets according to positions
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation
  • Make employee badge
  • Create personnel files as per branch standards
  • Pull personnel file, safety/health file, and I-9 form for re-designation.
  • Store termination files with current year terminations in designated areas.
  • Process transfers, duty title changes, and pay rate changes with approval signatures
  • File Maintenance (all HR related)
  • I-9s in Termination files for all terminated personnel
  • Policy acknowledgments, updates, etc
  • All files in compliance with federal and state law as well as BEK policies
  • Assist with the Coordination of Special Meetings/Training
  • Schedule classroom/conference room as requested
  • Determine supply needs and order as needed
  • Determine refreshment/meal needs in advance and order
  • Ensure cleanliness, set-up, materials, and equipment for meeting/training
  • Coordinate all needs together with the HR manager
  • Assist BEK-FSA employees with HR-related questions and needs
  • Benefits, policies, forms, etc.
  • FMLA Leave request/applications
  • Manage employee referrals, internal applications for job posting
  • Process changes for employees such as address, direct deposit, name changes, etc.
  • Answer inquiries about available vacation, sick pay, loans, etc.
  • Manage the FMLA process
  • Maintain FMLA files including LOA Status Report and attachments
  • Designation Notices
  • Certification of Healthcare provider forms
  • Doctors visits, status reports, and RTW forms
  • Track employee departure and return from LOA, and ensure compliance with deadlines for receipt of all required documentation for leave.
  • Ensure all Certifications of Healthcare Providers are complete and the employee qualifies for LOA under the medical definition of “serious health condition.
  • Communicate leave status to supervisors/managers and HR Manager
  • Attendance tracking, determination of FMLA-related excused absences
  • Maintain branch FMLA Log monthly for the current year and send it to Corporate at the beginning of each month, updating all entries for the prior month. Get HR Manager approval before sending.
  • Prepare various reports, spreadsheets, and documents as requested by management.
