Requirements

  • Be on track to achieve or have already achieved a minimum 2:2 in your undergraduate degree

Responsibilities

  • Researching background information on a client, sector or topic before an audit
  • Planning your fieldwork, arranging meetings with client staff and requesting information
  • Carrying out basic data analysis to identify anomalies and exception for investigation and analysing written information to understand client policies and processes
  • Working independently, or as part of a small team, to complete audit testing
  • Interviewing senior staff and management at clients to understand their business, discuss the findings arising from your audit and agreeing improvement actions
  • Project management, ensuring work is delivered to deadlines and within budget
  • Scheduling regular catch-ups with the client manager to discuss issues and keep them informed of progress
  • Drafting a report to summarise the findings from the audit and recommendations agreed with the client
  • You will have the opportunity take on responsibility early in your career and to progress quickly, developing a wide range of transferable skills. As you advance in your role you will take on more complex audit assignments and carry out a wider range of advisory work such as investigations and client workshops. You will also have the opportunity to mentor new trainees and provide them with on-the-job training.
