Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Process, Chemical or Structural Engineering - Masters graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Up to 3 years’ experience working in the energy industry; ideally in Integrity-related area.
  • Familiarity with data management processes and various data management systems.
  • Experience with integrity management databases
  • Inspection planning, scheduling, review, and management for fixed equipment
  • Able to perform basic math calculations to perform mechanical assessments per codes and standards
  • Experienced on interpretations of codes and standards
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Work under pressure and with short dead lines
  • Excellent software capabilities (MS Office, Engineering software is a plus)
  • Ability to learn quickly from projects and from senior engineer’s instructions
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty and humility,
  • Confidence to ask questions, seek help, make decisions and challenge the norm
  • Strong IT skills and ideally have a keen interest in learning and growing,

Responsibilities

  • Assess, manage, manipulate and sanitize large integrity data sets as required.
  • Develop integrity management systems, circuits and plans with the guidance of a senior engineer.
  • Interface with clients, personnel, and subcontractors as required to obtain project information, project scope, work permits, safety permits and to deliver project outputs.
  • Support fitness for purpose studies to ensure continuing integrity asset management of pressure retaining equipment. This includes undertaking engineering calculations in accordance with recognized codes & standards (e.g. ASME, API).
  • Support the assessment of the results of survey, inspection, testing and monitoring activities.
  • Writing, checking and issuing of integrity management documents for the continued safe operation of pressurized equipment.
  • Participate in studies regarding risk-based inspection and/or integrity assessment of pressurized equipment, including data review, validation and date input.
  • Liaise with specialized engineering disciplines for resolution of integrity related concerns.
  • Involvement with industry associations and academic institutions.
  • Travel when required to client locations to coordinate data collection, site inspections, perform assessments, interact with technicians and inspectors.
  • Liaise with customers’ personnel to communicate on projects, lead meetings and workshops and generally build strong professional working relationships.
  • Review opportunities for individual skill development through attendance at conferences, courses and seminars.
  • Correctly adhere to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies.
  • Supporting other discrete packages of work as may be required on a time-to-time basis.
