  • Currently at Junior Merchandising level or experienced Assistant Merchandiser level (AM)

Responsibilities

  • Run and review trading reports to identify best and worst sellers, and make commercial recommendations to drive sales
  • Forecast sales demand and track sales performance against targets, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Undertake regular store visits to assess trade, and feedback insight to the wider team
  • Analyse sales data, identify trends and make actionable recommendations to optimise range performance
  • Build and maintain supplier production forecasts, at fabric and product level with the objective of reducing supplier lead times
  • Monitor fabric availability/levels across the supply base to ensure optimal production lead times and minimising fabric liability
  • Develop strong supplier relationships through regular meetings and proactive communication
  • Build and own range building documents, option counts and sales and stock plans
  • Contribute to range planning by ensuring the product range is commercially balanced, free from gaps or duplication, and aligned to brand strategy
  • Discontinuation and life cycle management
  • Work closely with the Buying and Product Development teams to ensure future product ranges are commercially strong and reflect market trends
  • Build and maintain supplier production forecasts with the aim of reducing lead times
  • Deputise for Senior Merchandiser
  • Supervise junior team members
