Responsibilities

Privacy Governance and Regulatory Compliance:
Draft, revise, develop and implement privacy governance frameworks and policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection laws regulations and other related laws.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy requirements into business processes and systems.
Draft advisory opinions, legal opinions, and privacy advice on inquiries and matters related to data privacy in line with business needs.
Conduct and draft data privacy and artificial intelligence (AI) research papers and documents.
Stay up-to-date with local and global privacy laws and regulations and industry best practices, and emerging trends on privacy and data protection, and assess their impact on the organization and update privacy/AI governance framework, policies, and procedures accordingly.
Ensure organizational adherence to privacy laws and internal policies.
Privacy Risk Management and Corporate Governance Support:
Collaborate with other members of the data privacy team to create privacy documents supporting the conduct of privacy impact assessments (PIAs)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support risk and corporate governance tasks and initiatives.
Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver privacy and data protection training programs for employees including the preparation of privacy training materials and documents.
Raise awareness of privacy policies and practices across the organization through consultation and collaboration with other teams as the resource speaker or subject-matter expert.
Other tasks that may be assigned by the Data Protection Officer:
Manage privacy-related projects from initiation to completion.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
