Responsibilities

  • Your main area of work will be advising HR officers on employment law in the workplace, with reference to the council’s own policies and procedures, as well as statute and case law.
  • The work will involve Employment Tribunal casework including taking instructions and drafting responses, preparing document bundles and statements, and advocacy at preliminary hearings and – possibly - final hearings, experience-depending.
  • You will also provide support to others in the team as required in housing and general civil litigation (generally contract/debt work).
