Responsibilities

  • Deliver and facilitate structured safety and regulatory training and development programs and initiatives in support of the company’s training plan, objectives, and brand essence. Training sessions shall include classroom, demonstrative (hands-on), and select online curriculum.
  • Develop or review all EHS Training materials to ensure quality and conformance with UO and/or Global EHS Standards and local regulations.
  • Identify EHS Training needs based on work task exposures and compliance requirement. Identify competent and or qualified internal and external resources to deliver all training courses to Team Members.
  • Provide Train the Trainer (TTT) to EHS and select departmental trainers to develop competent EHS Trainer resources.
  • Track all EHS Training completions and training documentation to include training content, knowledge assessments, demonstrative evaluations (where applicable), sign-in rosters, etc. and report EHS Training conformance to meet local regulation, UO, and Corporate expectations.
  • Take action to ensure the role functions cohesively and in alignment with the whole of the site EHS function. Communicates a single EHS vision and mission with one set of established goals and objectives. Supports and collaborates with all EHS peer leadership related to resources and communications for clarity of message with business partners.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
