Responsibilities

  • - Works closely with the Marketing Director to map out tasks and executional elements of the marketing strategy
  • - Drives creation and implementation of improved processes and best practices to ensure cross-departmental effectiveness to deliver optimal impact for the resort through Marketing & Event efforts
  • - Creates and drives timelines across marketing and events, beginning with annual/seasonal planning process through execution/delivery, to measurement and success tracking. Including but not limited to, national paid media, local media, owned channels (email, web, social, app), in-resort, partnerships, events
  • - Develops, implements, and oversees process for tracking attendance and success metrics (KPIs) for events and programming initiatives
  • - Ensures on-time, on-brand, and on-budget delivery of event specific marketing and in-resort communication deliverables
  • - Oversees project management software system (Wrike) to ensure marketing and events project flow, timely delivery of in-resort signage and communication needs, and appropriate distribution of workload
  • - Identifies processes and executional opportunities for efficiencies and leverages project management systems and tools to deliver solutions
  • - Continuous improvement of resources and materials used to help organize, plan and communicate event operations and strategy
  • - Oversees and assists, when necessary, in the development of creative and communication plans for resort programing, events and partner activations. Including, but not limited to: signage, collateral, website, social media, CRM, and paid media
  • - Works with Sr. Partnerships Manager and Marketing Manager to ensure all events are integrated into website, email marketing, social media, and other channels in a timely manner
  • - Works in close collaboration with the Design Manager to ensure all event, programming and partnership creative is developed in accordance with brand guidelines and requirements
  • - Works in close collaboration with the Design Manager to ensure efficient distribution of creative workload, and on-time, on-brand and on-budget delivery of projects
  • - Works with Sr. Partnerships Manager to obtain necessary partner reviews and approvals of creative executions
  • - Oversees development and execution of Copper and partner branded promotional items
  • - Plays an integral role in overseeing and delivering on assigned budgets (including marketing dollars in support of events), partnership activation, and in-resort signage/collateral/communications
  • - Oversees Partner marketing deliverables; drive content, track and report
  • - Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Mission & Purpose

Copper Mountain Resort is The Athlete's Mountain. Located in Summit County, Colorado, about 75 miles (121 km) west of Denver on Interstate 70, the resort opened in late 1971. Iit was owned and operated by Intrawest until Dec. 2009, when operations were transferred to Powdr Adventure Lifestyle Co. The ski area features beginner slopes on the western side of the mountain, intermediate slopes in the center, and expert terrain on the eastern side. Advanced "double black diamond"​ slopes are located on the two peaks above 12,000 feet (Copper and Union Peaks), including four expert-only bowls: Copper Bowl, Union Bowl, Spaulding Bowl, and Resolution Bowl. Copper Mountain Ski Resort has 2,465 acres of in-bounds terrain under lease from the United States Forest Service, White River National Forest, Dillon Ranger District.
