Requirements

  • Product Design (Mechanical) and Product Improvement taking into account Customer requirements, specifications, functionality, cost, and manufacturability
  • Interface with Sales, Manufacturing (including outside suppliers), Vendors, Engineering (including Electrical Engineering), R&D and others
  • Support R&D with various Mechanical Engineering tasks. May perform testing, may develop and document Test protocols
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely verbally and in written form
  • Must be able to independently research and validate various subjects using on-line resources
  • Some travel required (less than 5%)
  • Must: Similar requirements as the ME just don't need the degree
  • 3-7 years of mechanical design experience
  • 3D CAD modelling software experience
  • Plus: Inventor experience
  • Industrial equipment design experience - (bulk material heavy equipment products – conveyors, feeders, dishwasher equipment)
  • Versatility in understanding new process and working with new product/teams
  • Team player, ability to communicate technical knowledge
