Requirements

  • Ideally, you will have a Mechanical Engineering degree, with proven experience in a mechanical engineering role and wide-ranging practical experience. This experience will include knowledge of the regulatory requirements relating to, and experience of working with, power generation and distribution equipment. Ideally you should also be working towards Incorporated / Chartered Engineer status.
  • Competence with using Autodesk CAD software packages is preferential but not essential.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that will enable you to work well within the Engineering team and to build strong relationships with our customers and suppliers.
  • You will have the ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • You will be adaptable, flexible, and have a drive to acquire new skills.
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • You will take a supporting role regarding the research and development of new product / service design.
  • You will provide flexible, robust, efficient, and cost-effective engineering support to our existing products as part of an integrated team.
  • You will conduct failure diagnosis, analysis and sentencing of problems affecting in-service equipment, including equipment testing as required.
  • You will comprehensively report your findings and make recommendations for modifications to maintain capability, reduce costs or address safety concerns.
  • You will coordinate with delivery teams and provide direct liaison with customers to understand and resolve equipment support issues.
