  • An MOT testers certificate would be an advantage, but a candidate with a keen wiliness to pursue MOT certification would be considered.
  • A C1 driving licence is essential for this post so a candidate must have C1 category on their licence or commit to obtaining within the 1st year of employment.
  • The hours of work are 07:00 - 17:00 on a shift rota including weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Level 3

Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will be expected to service vehicles in accordance with the trust service schedules.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs to the trust vehicles to a high standard.
  • You may be asked to go to other ambulance stations to carry out vehicle repairs.
  • You will also be trained to service pieces of equipment used on the back of ambulances i.e. Stretchers, Carry chairs, wheel chairs etc.
  • You will be required to go on training courses and keep up with mechanical updates.
  • You will also be required to carry out Essential Education as per the trusts requirements.
