The main focus of the Orthotist position is to provide care to patients with diabetes and associated complications, specializing in therapeutic footwear to address complex foot pathologies.
What type of caseload will the Orthotist be managing?
The Orthotist will manage a defined caseload primarily consisting of patients with diabetes and complications such as late/end stage complications arising from diabetic foot disease, circulatory and neurological deficits, and complex medical conditions.
Will the Orthotist be working alone or as part of a team?
The Orthotist will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, which includes Diabetes Specialist Podiatrists and Footwear Specialists, to provide integrated patient care.
Is there an emphasis on education and training in this role?
Yes, the Orthotist will participate in the education, training, and supervision of other staff regarding therapeutic footwear.
Where is this position based?
This is a countywide post based in Northamptonshire.
