Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or connected areas
  • Min.5 years experience working as a People Partner or in a HR Specialist role
  • In depth knowledge of German employment law (Austria & Switzerland employment law knowledge will come as a plus) and 3+ years hands on experience dealing with any type of legal employment matters
  • Being hands-on, an excellent problem solver & having great communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, analyse and inform appropriately while maintaining the required sensibilities in handling confidential information
  • Experience in working with HRIS tools, ticketing systems and electronic signature softwares
  • English (oral and written) + German skills at a proficient level are mandatory
  • Ability to work a minimum of 4 days a week from our office in Berlin

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a People Partner to line managers:
  • In weekly catch-ups and 1:1's for people consulting matters;
  • Offer support on disciplinary issues;
  • Offer support in performance review cycles and calibration meetings;
  • Offer consultancy and trainings on all people programs applicable to the ground team in the market;
  • Make sure the company follows diligently and compliant all employee local regulations;
  • Create and implement new policies as needed;
  • Coordinate workplace Health & Safety processes with the H&S vendor.
  • HR lifecycle:
  • Contract creation and issuing, by making sure all is compliant with the market's regulations and that the employee is ready to use all our internal tools;
  • Activation of local employee benefits administration;
  • Preparing personal documentation related to the full employee lifecycle, including, but not limited to: job contracts, annexes, certificates of employment, onboarding documentation, etc.;
  • Making sure that all systems are updated on employee day to day matters as sick leaves, promotions, changes in reporting lines, etc.;
  • Supporting international employees with their VISA applications;
  • Supporting the creation of the markets newsletter;
  • Monitoring and implementing any new regulations or processes in order to be compliant with the local labour law;
  • Performing administrative offboarding tasks and conducting exit interviews.
  • Payroll:
  • Support on preliminary payroll inputs (worked hours, time off, overtime, etc.) and perform maintenance tasks;
  • Collaborate with the internal payroll team and payroll provider ensuring a consistent and accurate flow of information.
  • Employee experience:
  • Data analysis and tracking of relevant metrics for the departments and the market;
  • Acting as a cultural ambassador for TIER-Dott;
  • Implement and train managers and employees on existing programs like performance management, benchmarking, etc.;
  • Taking part in internal projects aiming to improve our current processes;
  • Managing and resolving tasks raised via our People Support Portal, in a timely and accurate manner.
