  • Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Civil Engineering at the University of Galway, Ireland.
  • This position is co-funded by the Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland (formerly Science Foundation Ireland) and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, and is available from 1st of August 2025 to contract end date of 31st of July 2027.
  • Salary: Postdoctoral Researcher salary scale € €44,846 - €57,332 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.

Responsibilities

  • This position involves the following responsibilities:
  • Conducting independent research under the supervision of the principal investigator.
  • Contributing to the development of research proposals and collaborating with external partners.
  • Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Assisting with the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Participating in project meetings and contributing to the overall management of the project.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and promoting the results of the research.
  • Collaborating with other researchers and institutions as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate records of research activities and outputs.
  • Adhering to all ethical guidelines and institutional policies.
